Our last day is the end of 2019 so once current cats are adopted, that is all the services we will be providing.
Typically our rescue is filled with strays from around the Denver area. However, we also want to prevent strays if possible, therefore if our homeless cat census is low, we will open our doors to surrenders. If you have a cat, you absolutely can't keep any longer, and no one you trust can provide the cat a loving home you can complete our Cat Surrender Questionnaire for consideration only. We'd prefer to help you keep your cat if possible. If you have questions about your particular situation, you can contact us. The more information, the better we can help, which is why we developed the questionnaire. However, if the cat was adopted through NFLB, we will take the cat back anytime.
Currently we accept transport cats from Louisiana, Texas, and Puerto Rico. These cats must pass a health exam prior to being transported. We do our best to make sure everyone is healthy upon arrival. These cats do not interfere with our ability to help local cats. In fact, their adoption fees are contribute to the care and spay/neuter of local felines due to lack of donations. The only thing inhibiting local stray care is the lack of fosters.
Working with local strays is important to us as we feel they often lack compassion and are ignored. Our goal is to promote help and resources for those in most need. Whether it be an injured cat needing veterinary care, a kitten without a mom, help with temporary food expenses, or a simple referral we want to be there for cats and cat lover's alike. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities to fight feline neglect and overpopulation.
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find the best strategies for dealing with feline overpopulation. We prefer every cat lives indoors, however, TNR is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact.
